Services Tell a Tail Dog Training offers Private in-home consultations and a variety of group classes. Many clients are unsure of which option is best for them. Following are some guidelines for which service will best fit your needs: Private Consultations Great for behavior problems such as separation anxiety, shyness/fear, leash reactivity, etc. Great for household manners issues such as jumping on guests, chewing, potty training, barking, etc Great for those who whose schedules don't allow them to make evening group classes. Can be used to address basic obedience and manners. Group Classes Great way to work on basic obedience and manners. This is more cost effective than private lessons. Group classes also provide the benefit of 6 classes over 6 weeks to help you progress through the lessons gradually. I find that this is generally the most effective way to teach your dog basic commands such as sit, down, stay, etc. Great way to help your dog learn to respond around distractions. The group class provides a very distracting environment combined with the instructor's coaching to help you learn how to teach your dog to be responsive in any situation. A must for puppy socialization! My puppy classes offer socialization opportunities with humans and with other dogs. We do off-leash puppy play to help your puppy learn how to appropriate interact with other dogs.
